Description

This OKBFAA training program is a certified, nationally recognized training program approved by the Oklahoma Department of Labor – Alarm and Locksmith Division. This course meets requirements for managers for a Oklahoma State License. The Oklahoma Department of Labor – Alarm and Locksmith Division regulates the electronic security industry in the state of Oklahoma.

Manager Training Course – OnDemand

The OnDemand class is a PREVIOUSLY RECORDED class that was taught by qualified industry expert.

All class details will be sent via email within 24 hours of completion of the registration and payment. The class details include the detailed instructions on taking the exam, link to the video, and your login to the exam portal. The exam is administered through our training portal with a third-party proctor service and is open book. A course booklet .PDF is emailed once a registration is complete. It is the responsibility of the company or technician who is taking the course to print the book. Please allow enough time for this to take place prior to attending the course or taking the test.

The student can take the the exam at any time after completing the viewing of the video. Upon completing the exam, the exam score is displayed and also sent by email to the student. The exam is 50 questions with 90 minutes to complete. Students must have a passing score of 70%. Each student is given two exam attempts. If a student does not pass the second exam, there will be a $50 retest fee. When the student passes the exam and we have confirmed approval from the proctor service, another email is sent notifying the student that their Certificate of Completion is ready for them to download from the training portal. The Certificate of Completion is a required document of the licensing application to the OK Department of Labor.

New Licensing Standards, Testing and Trainings

OKBFAA is pleased to announce that the Dept. of Labor new licensing tests have been introduced, effective September 2, 2014. We, however, will not be introducing new training opportunities until December of this year. The OKBFAA Board wants to be sure we roll out a quality industry training program and will feel confident we have done so in December. The classes will cover:

Burglar and Residential Fire
CCTV/Access Controls
Commercial Fire

Each course will include information pertaining to Managers, Workplace Safety and First aid.

Please make note:

Classes start at 8 a.m. each day (Friday and Saturday)
Each class will end with a test over the materials taught (Test administered Saturday)
Registration form and complete payment must be received before participation in the class.
To receive a certificate of completion, trainees must complete the entire course, including the test over the materials taught.

While we DO NOT TEACH to these tests, if your technicians and sales folks have previously taken the DOL licensing tests and DID NOT PASS, these pre-licensing training courses are the last of their kind. Register today to reserve your spot!
